NARCOTANGO ieri e domani/Narcotango yesterday and tomorrow

Sto trascurando il mio blog, è vero! Non sto scrivendo ma ho un buon motivo per non avere tempo per scrivere… e a breve avrò una nuovissima esperienza da raccontarvi.
Per esempio vi posso accennare che questa esperienza comincia con il mio primo viaggio a Buenos Aires ad agosto del 2008. Chiedo al mio maestro di tango se conosce qualche musicista che si potrebbe invitare al Festival di Spoleto e… in meno di qualche ora mi ritrovo nello studio di Carlos Libedinsky, leader dei Narcotango a parlare di musica, concerti e festival! Che simpatico Carlos… ma la parte più simpatica di Carlos è sicuramente sua cognata Iris Brito la grande chef… mamma mia che cena che ci preparò una cena a ottobre a casa di Carlos… roba da 3 stelle Michelin dunque potete capire che Iris è la parte che più mi piace di Carlos!!!
Da questo primo incontro abbiamo cominciato a lavorare su un grosso progetto che sembra portare a Spoleto 2009 ma che era solo o a malapena un calesse e fino a qua sembra una storia triste? Fosse mai sul mio blog!!!
Con la scusa di Spoleto montiamo un concerto di prova per novembre ma gli organizzatori di Spoleto già a settembre si tirano fuori e io mi ritrovo da sola con la mia parola e il mio onore da salvare. La mia professionalità messa in gioco per così poco figuriamoci! In quel momento non avevo nemmeno un luogo fisico per fargli suonare! Mi sono ostinata e ho consegnato un bel concerto impacchettato con i fiocchi a Roma, evento di tango per la prima volta al Piper il 13 novembre, con tutti gli effetti speciali possibili, media e ospiti importanti come Laura Piazzolla o Meri Lao… Per me grandissima esperienza: ho imparato come si organizza un concerto da zero. Ringrazio moltissimo Giancarlo Bornigia Jr che pazientemente mi ha insegnato e aiutato in tutto quello che era nuovo per me.
Ora siccome da allora sono “La Productora de los Narcotango en Roma” i nostri cari amici argentini cosa hanno fatto due mesi fa??? Mi hanno scritto chiedendomi una mano per organizzare un nuovo concerto! E io no no no no no! Non volevo! Troppa fatica! Sono stanca! Allora arriva Antimo Puca altro mio maestro di tango! Ehhh si vede che i maestri di tango mi portano tutti a Narcotango!!! Dicevo: arriva Antimo e mi dice: ” e che lo fai fare a qualcun altro?” Fosse mai ed eccomi ripartita per Narcotango due la vendetta!
Stavolta sono stata molto aiutata e visto che ero una nota nemica di Facebook, umilmente aggiungerò che grazie al caso visto che sto su Facebook da settembre è stato tutto più leggero e facile grazie al network… Meno male perché ripeto sono stanca e a risparmio di energia dopo alcuni gravi eventi accaduti di recente nella mia vita ma come diciamo sempre con Paola Ciamarra la mia musa della musica “noi ci rigeneriamo con la musica” e dunque vai con il tango e il concerto e tutto quello che gira intorno.
Dopo il concerto che avrà luogo il 3 dicembre a Roma farò i miei ringraziamenti ufficiali a tutti quelli che hanno collaborato e hanno dato fiducia al progetto. Per ora sto sotto adrenalina e felicissima di vivere 3 giorni con dei grandi musicisti giacché oltre alla sera del concerto riempiranno la mia casa di musica attirando tutti gli amici del 2008 e quelli nuovi tra di loro molti musicisti e ballerini…

You may think I’m neglecting my blog , it’s true ! I’m not writing , but I have a good reason for no having time to write … very soon I will have a brand new experience to tell.
For example, I can mention that this experience begins with my first trip to Buenos Aires in August 2008. I asked my tango teacher if he knew some musician who could be invited to the next Spoleto Festival and … in less than a few hours I found myself in the study of Carlos Libedinsky , leader of Narcotango talking about music , concerts and festivals! So Cute Carlos! But the most sympathetic aspect of Carlos is definitely his sister in law Iris Brito, great chef … mamma mia! I still dream of that dinner she prepared for us in October at Carlos home … a 3 Michelin stars menu! so you can understand that Iris is the part I like most of Carlos !!!
Let’s come back to the story: from this first meeting we started working on a big project that seemed to lead to Spoleto 2009 but that was only barely something like a project actually it was nothing! Don’t be afraid I am not going to tell any sad story! Never ever on my blog !!!
Under the guise of Spoleto we started preparing a concert test for November but the organizers of the festival as early as September lost their interest and disaappeared leaving me alone with my word and my honor to be saved. My professionalism jeopardized for so nothing? Impossible! At that time I had not even a physical place where the group could perform! No panic at all, I had to respect a commitment and I made it, I delivered a fantastic concert to the Romans in a very nice package, the first tango event at the famous Piper on 13th of November, with the good special effects, media, special guests like Mrs Laura Piazzolla or Mrs Meri Lao… Well such a big experience for me: I learned how to organize a concert from the beginning. Thank you so much to Giancarlo Bornigia Jr who taught me with so much patience and helped me for all the new steps.
Because since then I am ” La Productora de los Narcotango en Roma ” our dear Argentinian friends what did they do two months ago ??? They wrote to me asking for some help to organize a new concert ! And I answered: no no no no no!!! I did not want ! Too much effort ! I’m tired ! Then came up another tango teacher Antimo Puca! What should I say that all my tango teachers lead me to Narcotango!!! Antimo came and told me , ” Cathie you are not going to let anybody else organize it? ” And here I am again where you all know I am!Narcotango Number 2 The Revenge!
This new experience is totally different. I received a lot of help and to be honest since I was a big enemy of Facebook, I need to add that just by case I am on Facebook since September and thanks to the Network all the project has been done very easily and lightly… Happily! I could not make it in any other way because as I said before I am so tired and saving energy after some bad events happened recently in my life… but as we always say with Paola Ciamarra my muse of music ” we regenerate with the music ” so let’s go with the tango and the concert and everything that goes with it .
After the concert, which will take place on 3rd of December in Rome, I will make my official thanks to all those who cooperated and gave confidence to the project . Until now I’m happy to live under adrenaline and for 3 days with great musicians who will fill my house with music and friends, among them many musicians and dancers … and then finally D Day!
